Lam Chiu Ying is a meteorologist, conservationist and birdwatcher, Chairperson of the Hong Kong Countryside Foundation, Honorary President of the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society, Honorary Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society, former Hong Kong Observatory Director (2003-2009) and Honorary University Fellow of the University of Hong Kong.

Lam is passionate towards raising awareness on conservation and climate change. After his retirement from the Hong Kong Observatory, he frequently argues for pro-environment policy positions in public media.  He hosts a personal blog, Cao Yun Ju to advocate the co-existence and Man and Nature.

林超英是一位氣象學家、保育人士和觀鳥愛好者，他身兼香港環保署轄下環境運動委員會主席、香港鄉郊基金主席、香港觀鳥會榮譽會長、英國皇家氣象學會榮譽會士、前香港天文台台長(2003-2009)及香港大學榮譽院士。

林先生致力提高公衆對自然保育與氣候變化的關注。退休後，經常在公眾媒體發表促進有利自然環境的政策意見，他亦在個人網誌「草雲居」及社交媒體，致力推廣人與自然共融的意念。
